Source: the compiled release table for 2026-07-01 to 2026-09-30, one row per release. The bar is the count of rows whose lowest stated USD per-cigar price falls in the tier. Package totals and non-USD prices are excluded. The axis starts at 0.

How the count was made

The table has 139 releases dated July 1 to September 30, 2026. A row enters a price tier only when a source states a US dollar price per cigar. The tier uses the lowest figure on that row.

Sixty-four rows stay out of the price chart.

  • No stated price, or a price only in euros, francs, Canadian dollars or Hong Kong dollars.
  • A sampler, chest or other package total, which is not a per-cigar price.
  • A parenthetical dollar conversion of a foreign price. That is not a US list price.

The $10 to $15 stick

Twenty-eight of the 75 priced releases land at $10 to $14.99. Add the 14 under $10 and the 14 from $15 to $19.99, and 56 of 75 are under $20. That is the shelf the under-$15 list and the under-$10 list already cover.

Meerapfel Project 18 is the dearest priced cigar in the table, at $99. halfwheel reported that price on September 15. A $100 cigar did not ship in this window.

Smaller boxes, same stick price

Perdomo moved its 30th Anniversary line from 30-count boxes to 20-count boxes on September 3. Per-stick prices stayed $13.50 to $15.50. Box prices fell from $405–$465 to $270–$310. halfwheel said the cut followed consumer feedback.

Plasencia is moving Reserva Original Toro and Cortez from 10-count to 14-count boxes for September orders. Cigar Journal published no new per-cigar price.

Six releases used a tin. A tin changes how much cash you put down. It does not, by itself, change the stick price.

What the box costs

Set a per-stick price. The tool prices a 5-pack, a 10-count and a 20-count at that stick price, and shows how much more cash the larger box ties up. The slider starts at $9.50, the median of 2,938 priced cigars in our catalog.

$9.50

5-count total: $47.50

10-count total: $95.00

20-count total: $190.00

Extra cash in the 20-count versus the 5-count: $142.50

The per-stick price does not change with the count. A smaller box costs less up front and the same per cigar. That is the trade Perdomo made when it cut 30-count boxes to 20.

The calculator prices a 5-pack, a 10-count and a 20-count at one stick price. At the catalog median of $9.50, a 20-count is $190 and a 5-pack is $47.50. The cigar costs the same. The cash tied up does not.

What box count shipped most in 2026?

Ten and 20. The compiled table has 25 releases in a 10-count box and 25 in a 20-count box. Perdomo just left the 30-count box. Those two counts are the ones to compare in the calculator.

Did any new cigar cost $100?

No priced row reaches $100 a cigar. Meerapfel Project 18 is $99. Sixty-four rows have no US per-cigar price, so an unpriced $100 cigar could exist. None of the sourced US prices is one.

Are tins cheaper per cigar?

Not unless the maker says so. In this table a tin is a smaller count, not a lower stick price. United Independence shipped in a 12-count tin. Use the calculator to see the cash gap at your own price.
