Seattle's Cigar Scene
Seattle's cigar map is shaped by Washington's indoor-smoking rules. The strongest lounge experiences are private member clubs such as The Vertigo Club and The Churchill Room, while many public stops are retail humidors or outdoor-only smoking areas.
Plan ahead before visiting any Seattle-area lounge. Some private clubs do not sell cigars, alcohol, or food, and day passes may be unavailable; retail shops such as Union Cigar Society, Rain City Cigar, F.K. Kirsten, and Market Tobacco Patch are better for buying cigars than sitting down for a full smoke.

Cigar Lounges (4)
These establishments feature dedicated smoking lounges where you can relax and enjoy your cigars in comfortable, well-ventilated spaces.
The Vertigo Club
Private, members-only cigar and pipe club with keycard access, humidified lockers, and a bring-your-own cigars, beverages, and food model. The club states that it does not serve or sell alcohol, food, tobacco, or day passes.
Obolus Room
Private Lake Union cigar lounge above the same building as Union Cigar Society, with membership-required access and an active paid membership portal. Confirm admission and guest rules directly before making it your only Seattle lounge plan.
The Churchill Room
Private 2,400-square-foot Eastside cigar lounge and social club with 24-hour member access, lockers, a curated humidor, ventilation, and a members-only conference room. Day passes are not available and visits require an appointment.
Lit Cigar Lounge at Snoqualmie Casino
Public cigar lounge inside Snoqualmie Casino with more than 200 hand-rolled cigars, a custom walk-in humidor, bar service, and late hours. It is outside Seattle proper but is the clearest casino-lounge option in the region.
Cigar Shops (7)
Excellent cigar selections without dedicated lounges. Perfect for picking up premium cigars to enjoy elsewhere.
Union Cigar Society
Boutique Lake Union cigar shop operating since 2011 with a focus on premium and boutique brands such as Tatuaje, Illusione, Warped, Padron, Ashton, and Fuente. Treat it as a retail shop, not a public lounge.
Rain City Cigar - Seattle
Established Seattle tobacconist with one of the largest premium cigar inventories in Washington, including roughly 1,000 premium hand-rolled cigars across Seattle, Bellevue, and Kirkland locations. Treat it as a cigar retail destination.

F.K. Kirsten Pipe and Cigar
Seattle pipe and cigar retailer located inside The Shop Club in SODO, with a walk-in humidor, hundreds of cigars, pipe products, accessories, and daily retail hours.

Seattle Cigar & Tobacco
Capitol Hill cigar and tobacco shop with premium cigars, humidor storage, and a stated outdoor smoking area. The shop says it does not have an indoor smoking lounge, so treat it as an outdoor-smoke retail stop.
Market Tobacco Patch
Pike Place Market tobacco shop with a well-organized humidor, premium cigars, pipe accessories, and daily market hours. Best for buying cigars downtown, not for indoor smoking.
Rain City Cigar - Bellevue
Eastside branch of Rain City Cigar with posted hours and the same premium cigar, pipe, and accessory focus as the Seattle shop. A stronger Bellevue cigar-retail stop than generic tobacco-shop alternatives.

Rain City Cigar - Kirkland
Downtown Kirkland branch of Rain City Cigar with weekday and Saturday hours and the same cigar, pipe, and accessory focus as the Seattle and Bellevue shops. Treat it as an Eastside cigar-retail stop rather than a public lounge.
Seattle Cigar Tips
Best Times to Visit
Retail shops are mostly daytime stops, with many closing by early evening. Private clubs require membership or advance contact. Lit Cigar Lounge at Snoqualmie Casino is the better late-night public lounge option.
Neighborhoods to Explore
SODO and Westlake/Lake Union anchor the private-club and boutique-shop scene. Georgetown has Rain City Cigar. Capitol Hill and Pike Place are useful retail areas, while Bellevue, Kirkland, and Snoqualmie add Eastside options.
What to Try
Use Union Cigar Society, Rain City Cigar, or F.K. Kirsten for selection, then confirm private-club access before relying on The Vertigo Club, Obolus Room, or The Churchill Room for seating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can visitors use Seattle's private cigar clubs?
Usually not without advance arrangements. The Vertigo Club states that day passes are not available under Washington and King County rules, and The Churchill Room says day passes are not available and visits require an appointment.
Does Seattle have public indoor cigar lounges?
Public indoor cigar lounges are limited. Lit Cigar Lounge at Snoqualmie Casino is the clearest public lounge in the broader Seattle area. In Seattle proper, expect private clubs, retail humidors, and some outdoor smoking areas instead.
Where should I buy cigars in Seattle?
Union Cigar Society, Rain City Cigar, F.K. Kirsten Pipe and Cigar, Seattle Cigar & Tobacco, and Market Tobacco Patch are current cigar-retail stops. Rain City's Seattle, Bellevue, and Kirkland shops are all useful retail stops. Confirm hours before going.
